OUR MISSION

Foster Community Fellowship specifically in the Historic Old West End, Toledo, Ohio

how we carry out our mission

Annual monthly events in Toledo, Ohio’s Historic Old West End (OWE) allows for fellowship amongst diverse neighborhood residents.

Throughout the year Movie Presentations, free to Old West End residents, allows for fellowship amongst neighborhood residents who are interested in the same genre of viewing entertainment.

Our Feburary event is held annually the third Saturday of the month between the hours of 12:00 and 4:00 pm.

What is this month's event?

February in Ohio is generally cold.  What goes better with cold than Chili?  Every February we host a chili cook off for the community to enjoy asking all of the local Old West End community groups to send a representative chili to the competition.  When a winner is chosen, the winning community group will be awarded $50 to help further their efforts in the Old West End community.

When will this month's event be held?

Our chili cook off event is held annually the third Saturday of the month between the hours of 12:00 and 4:00 pm at the Scottwood Inn, 2335 Scottwood Avenue, Toled .  February 20, 2021.

How will this month's event be carried out?

The front lawn of the Scottwood Inn will set up stations for each community group wishing to participate.  Bowls and spoons will be provided so each OWE resident, their family and friends who attend, can try as many varities of chili as they desire.  When they are finished they will be able to rate the chili(s) they tasted.  The chili receiving the highest cumumlative rating will be declared the winner and reigning champ invited back the next year to defend their title.
